This step-by-step article discusses how to restore user accounts, computer accounts, and their group memberships after they have been deleted from Active Directory. In variations of this scenario, user accounts, computer accounts, or security groups may have been deleted individually. The system will prompt you to put the contents of the user's home folder in a disk image (.dmg) file in the /Users/Deleted Users folder or to delete the home folder contents immediately. If you click OK, the user's home folder will be moved into a disk image file in /Users/Deleted Users. However, it is more likely that you kept a copy (the option with the big blue 'OK' button). This copy is kept in the Users folder under 'Deleted Users'. You must be logged into an administrator account to have access to this folder. Mac os sierra download dmg bootable. Look in here for the name of the deleted user you want to recover, and double click it.
![]() Deleted Users Discord
I was talking to a friend over the phone and we deleted her mail account and re-created it. It fixed the problem but I thought it was the same as on a pc when it keeps all the mail already downloaded. All the mail is gone and they need it back. I've searched google and apparently it saves the data in a disk image (/Users/Deleted Users/userid.dmg).
I tried it on another system and yes I know about the message that comes up and says that all the mail will be deleted but they didn't tell me that on the phone. I can't find any dmg files, would it be hidden or somewhere else on the machine? Any help would be appreciated Dale Comments are closed.
